Why we selected Vila Vita Parc

Vila Vita Parc opened in 1992 on the clifftops between Portimão and Albufeira. Its white, Moorish-influenced buildings are spread through 22 hectares of subtropical gardens above the Atlantic, and a path down the cliff leads to Praia dos Tremoços, a small cove that works almost as a private beach.

It is one of only two hotels in Portugal to hold three MICHELIN Keys, the guide's highest distinction, awarded in 2025 and kept in 2026. Its restaurant Ocean has held two MICHELIN stars since 2011.

For a stay in the Algarve that combines a true resort, serious cooking and the sea at the foot of the garden, nothing in the country comes closer.

Where to be, every season

Four letters a year, one for each season: the Mediterranean from spring to autumn, and Beyond the Mediterranean, into the Alps, in winter. The one best hotel to book, and the events worth crossing a sea for.
