Why we selected One&Only Portonovi

One&Only Portonovi opened on 2 May 2021 as the brand's first resort in Europe, on the site of a former barracks at Kumbor, where the Bay of Kotor opens to the Adriatic.

Its architecture recalls the Venetian palaces of the Boka, with stone façades, terracotta roofs, courtyards and private gardens, looking across the water to the mountains. Kotor and Perast, both World Heritage sites, are within easy reach.

In the 2026 Star Awards it became Montenegro's first and only Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel.
