The great events, year by year

The events of the coming years that are already confirmed: the America’s Cup in Naples, the World Cup in Spain, Portugal and Morocco, Euro 2032 in Italy and Türkiye, and the great anniversaries. We list only what is confirmed, and add years as their events are announced. Checked 31 October 2026.

2027The America’s Cup in Naples, the World Ski Championships and the 1000 Miglia centenary.
2028Two hundred and fifty years of La Scala, and Formula 1 in Portugal.
2029A hundred years of the Monaco Grand Prix.
2030The FIFA World Cup in Spain, Portugal and Morocco, and the Winter Olympics in the French Alps.
2031Victoria, Gozo, a European Capital of Culture.
2032UEFA Euro 2032 in Italy and Türkiye, and a century of the Venice Film Festival.
2033The 2,000th anniversary of the Resurrection, in Rome and Jerusalem.

Coming years

2034 to 2040

Nothing for the Mediterranean is confirmed yet for the years 2034 to 2040. Monaco’s agreement with Formula 1 runs until 2035, and we will add each year as its great events are announced.
