Selected by TheMediterranean.com
Hotel Europe is an Austro-Hungarian landmark in the heart of Sarajevo, a short walk from Baščaršija, the old bazaar quarter, and the Old Town.
With some 130 years of tradition behind it, the hotel has been restored to its original splendour, and its Viennese Café is famous in the city.
There are 160 rooms and 14 suites, two of them presidential suites, and a spa with an indoor pool and a Turkish bath: the grand hotel from which to walk the city where East meets West.
