Why we selected Four Seasons Astir Palace

The original Astir Palace opened in August 1960 on a pine-covered peninsula at Vouliagmeni and became the glamorous heart of the Athens Riviera. After a full rebuilding it reopened in 2019 as Four Seasons' first hotel in Greece, with interiors by Meyer Davis and gardens by Thomas Doxiadis.

The estate covers 30 hectares, with three private beaches, and is about thirty minutes from both central Athens and the airport.

It holds Forbes Five-Star (2026) and was again Greece's only three-Key hotel in the MICHELIN selection of September 2026.
