Europe and the Mediterranean
Circuit de Monaco, through the streets of Monte-Carlo and round Port Hercule. Formula 1 races here until at least 2035.
Visit website (opens the official site) ↗
Monaco's palace hotel since 1864, with three MICHELIN Keys and a Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rating. It stands on the Place du Casino, which the circuit runs through, and its rooms look down on the track. Visit website (opens the official site) ↗
Steps from the Casino and within walking distance of the circuit, with two MICHELIN Keys. Visit website (opens the official site) ↗
A modernist clifftop hotel just beyond Monaco's eastern border that looks straight across to the Principality; Forbes Five-Star and two MICHELIN Keys. Visit website (opens the official site) ↗
The Belle Époque palace at the tip of Cap Ferrat, with three MICHELIN Keys; a calmer base along the coast towards Nice, with villas in its grounds. Visit website (opens the official site) ↗
The circuit runs round Port Hercule, so a yacht in the harbour is the other classic way to see the race. The berths with a view of the track lie along the Quai des États-Unis and round the bend onto the Route de la Piscine; demand far exceeds supply, applications go to the port at least eight months ahead, and racing teams, drivers and sponsors have priority. Berths elsewhere in the harbour have no view of the track but are easier to secure. Superyachts cannot leave the port during race week, so a private charter there runs to at least five days. The port of Fontvieille, outside the circuit, and anchoring offshore are the alternatives.

Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, Portimão, in the hills above the Algarve coast. Back on the calendar for 2027 and 2028.
Visit website (opens the official site) ↗
One of the 25 Finest Resorts of the Mediterranean and one of Portugal's two hotels with three MICHELIN Keys, on the clifftops above the Atlantic with its own beach and villas; about half an hour by road from the circuit. Visit website (opens the official site) ↗
An early 20th-century mansion on the cliff above Praia da Rocha, with two MICHELIN Keys; the closest hotel to the circuit that meets our standard, about 20 minutes by road. Visit website (opens the official site) ↗
A small villa hotel on the Algarve shore with its own MICHELIN-starred restaurant and two MICHELIN Keys; about 40 minutes by road. Visit website (opens the official site) ↗

Silverstone, Northamptonshire, the home of the first World Championship race in 1950. Formula 1 races here until at least 2034.
Visit website (opens the official site) ↗
Two MICHELIN Keys, about an hour and ten minutes by road in normal traffic, but Air Charter Service, Silverstone's official aviation partner, lists Cliveden as a departure point for a helicopter flight of about 25 minutes, straight to the circuit's private heliport. Visit website (opens the official site) ↗
Two MICHELIN Keys. About an hour and ten minutes by road; arrival by helicopter is possible if the operator arranges it ahead with the hotel and RAF Brize Norton. Visit website (opens the official site) ↗
Two MICHELIN Keys. Around an hour by road, and minutes from Birmingham Airport, where a private jet can land and a helicopter reaches Silverstone in about 20 minutes. Visit website (opens the official site) ↗
Three MICHELIN Keys, the highest distinction, but the furthest: allow about an hour and three-quarters by road, so this is a choice for those flying in by helicopter. Visit website (opens the official site) ↗

Red Bull Ring, Spielberg, in the mountains of Styria. Formula 1 races here until at least 2041.
Visit website (opens the official site) ↗
No hotel near the Red Bull Ring holds our distinctions; Styria has none with two or three MICHELIN Keys. The best stays are a lakeside castle on the Wörthersee in Carinthia, about an hour and a half away by road, or the castle hotels of Salzburg and the grand hotels of Vienna, each about two hours or more, with a helicopter to close the distance.
A lakeside castle hotel with 67 rooms and more than 200 works from the Haselsteiner art collection, holding two MICHELIN Keys; the closest hotel to the circuit that meets our standard, about an hour and a half to an hour and three-quarters by road. Visit website (opens the official site) ↗
The castle on the Wörthersee shore, a Leading Hotels of the World member, with two MICHELIN Keys; a similar distance from the circuit.
A former archbishops' hunting castle on a peninsula on Lake Fuschl, with three MICHELIN Keys; about two and a half hours by road, or a short helicopter flight. Visit website (opens the official site) ↗
Vienna's grand hotel opposite the State Opera, with three MICHELIN Keys; about two hours by road. Visit website (opens the official site) ↗

Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, in the forests of the Ardennes. Spa races in 2027, 2029 and 2031, taking turns with Barcelona.
Visit website (opens the official site) ↗
Two MICHELIN Keys; this Belle Époque grand hotel reopened in December 2024 after a long restoration. Be prepared for the distance: no hotel at our standard is anywhere near the circuit, and from Brussels it is about an hour and a half by road, or roughly 35 to 40 minutes by helicopter. Visit website (opens the official site) ↗
Two MICHELIN Keys; a 22-room house that opened in June 2025. About an hour and a half by road to the circuit, through the Ardennes. Visit website (opens the official site) ↗

A Renaissance residence and a hotel since 1873, with two MICHELIN Keys, a similar distance from Monza. Visit website (opens the official site) ↗
A garden hotel in Brera, beside the city's botanical garden, with two MICHELIN Keys. Visit website (opens the official site) ↗
For a party, Villa Pliniana at Torno, on the eastern shore, is Sereno Hotels' 16th-century villa, begun in 1573 by Count Giovanni Anguissola around the spring Pliny described. It stands a short way along the shore from its sister hotel Il Sereno (two MICHELIN Keys), whose services its guests share, and can be taken for exclusive use on request. serenohotels.com

Visit website (opens the official site) ↗
Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star in 2025 and 2026, the only hotel in Azerbaijan with that rating, and Two MICHELIN Keys. This Beaux Arts building stands on Neftchilar Avenue, inside the street circuit itself, and its Eyvan Terrace looks onto the track. No transfer is needed on race days. Visit website (opens the official site) ↗
No other hotel in Baku currently meets our standard; the Four Seasons stands alone.

Istanbul Park, Tuzla, on the Asian side of Istanbul. Back on the calendar from 2027, under an agreement to 2031; the 2027 race is subject to the circuit's FIA approval.
Istanbul Park lies on the Asian side, about 62 kilometres south-east of central Istanbul. No hotel on the Asian side holds our distinctions, so every stay below is in the city, about an hour or more by road.
A converted historic building between Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, rated Forbes Five-Star and Türkiye's only three-Key hotel. Visit website (opens the official site) ↗
A restored Ottoman palace on the water, rated Forbes Five-Star. Visit website (opens the official site) ↗

A restored Catalan country house in the Empordà with two MICHELIN Keys, the one other hotel that meets our standard within reach of the circuit; about an hour and a quarter by road, and convenient for those flying into Girona. Visit website (opens the official site) ↗
With only one hotel at the standard in the city, a yacht is the strongest alternative. OneOcean Port Vell, in Barcelona's old port a few minutes from the Gothic Quarter, takes yachts of up to 190 metres.

Beyond Europe
Bahrain International Circuit, in the desert at Sakhir, some 30 km south of Manama. Formula 1 races here until at least 2036.
Visit website (opens the official site) ↗
No hotel in Bahrain yet holds our distinctions: Forbes Travel Guide rates none Five-Star, and the MICHELIN Guide has no Keys there. The closest to our standard, and the nearest to the circuit:
An all-villa Raffles resort, each villa with its own pool, rated Forbes Four-Star; about 10 kilometres from the circuit.
Nothing else in Bahrain qualifies. Forbes rates the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay, The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain, Conrad Bahrain Financial Harbour and Address Beach Resort Bahrain Four-Star; all are in or near Manama, about 35 to 40 minutes from the circuit.

Jeddah Corniche Circuit, on the Red Sea waterfront of the North Corniche, about 20 km north of the city centre. Formula 1 races in Saudi Arabia until at least 2030; the race is due to move to a new circuit at Qiddiya, with no date yet set.
Visit website (opens the official site) ↗
One MICHELIN Key (2026). No hotel in Jeddah holds a Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rating or two or more Keys, and Saudi Arabia's Two- and Three-Key hotels are all a flight away, so a One-Key hotel is the right choice here. It stands at the Jeddah Yacht Club, beside the circuit. Visit website (opens the official site) ↗
One MICHELIN Key (2026). A palace-style hotel on North Corniche Road with Red Sea views, a short drive down the Corniche from the circuit. Visit website (opens the official site) ↗

Visit website (opens the official site) ↗
One MICHELIN Key in 2026. No hotel in Melbourne holds a Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rating or two or more MICHELIN Keys, so this is the strongest choice within easy reach of the track. It stands on the Yarra at Southgate, about 3 km from the circuit: around 10 minutes by car, or a short tram ride down St Kilda Road. Visit website (opens the official site) ↗
One MICHELIN Key in 2025 and 2026. A sky-high hotel in the city centre, about 15 to 20 minutes by car from the circuit. Visit website (opens the official site) ↗

Visit website (opens the official site) ↗

The hotel sits beside Nijo Castle, about 92 km and 1 hour 15 minutes by car from the circuit, more in race traffic. A helicopter from Kyoto avoids the roads. Visit website (opens the official site) ↗
