Business aviation
An FBO, or fixed-base operator, is the private terminal where a business jet is met: a lounge, customs and immigration on the spot, and the car waiting at the aircraft steps. These are the private terminals at the Mediterranean’s leading airports, with their operators named only where we could confirm them. Checked 31 October 2026.
For the airport, helicopter and yacht berth for each destination, see arrive privately; for the jet itself, see private jets and helicopters.
France and Monaco
Sky Valet, the private aviation arm of the Côte d’Azur airports group, and DC Aviation G-OPS run private terminals here. It is the Riviera’s helicopter hub, with flights on to Monaco, Cannes and Saint-Tropez.

An airport devoted to business aviation, 5 km from Cannes, for light and mid-size jets. Sky Valet runs the private terminal.

About twenty minutes from Saint-Tropez, with a short 1,071-metre runway for smaller aircraft and a specific pilot qualification. Sky Valet runs the private terminal; Toulon-Hyères is the fallback for larger jets.
Italy and Malta
Eccelsa Aviation runs the private aviation terminal at Olbia, about 35 minutes by car from Porto Cervo.

Rome’s business aviation airport, with its own general aviation terminal and customs. Fiumicino takes private jets only at night and has no private terminal.
Sky Services runs the largest network of private aviation terminals in Italy, as well as private jet charter and aircraft management. Visit website (opens the official site) ↗︎
Private flights are handled at the ExecuJet FBO, run with Executive Aviation Malta, about twenty minutes by car from Valletta.
Spain, Gibraltar and Portugal
Both airports have a General Aviation Terminal for private passengers. Universal Aviation Spain handles business aviation across all the Balearic airports, Menorca included.
Universal Aviation Spain runs a private aviation terminal (FBO) here, about fifty minutes by car from Marbella.
Gibair Handling runs the airport’s General Aviation Wing, with its own entrance and customs and immigration.
Sky Valet Portugal handles private flights. Lisbon is fully slot-coordinated, so every private arrival and departure needs a confirmed slot.
Greece, Türkiye, Israel and Morocco
Business aviation uses the airport’s General Aviation Facilities building, where ExecuJet has an FBO. It is also where jets usually park in summer after dropping passengers on the islands.
Signature Mykonos and ExecuJet both operate here. In summer there is no parking for private jets and a limit of 40 minutes on the ground, so jets drop off and reposition, usually to Athens. Slots and prior permission are required, and private passengers must use the airport’s general aviation lounge.
A dedicated General Aviation Terminal operated by TAV. The airport is slot-coordinated, so book early for June to August.
Istanbul Atatürk no longer has airline traffic and handles most of the city’s private flights; Istanbul Airport has a Jetex private terminal.
The Fattal Terminal is the airport’s private terminal for VIP passengers.
Jetex runs the private aviation terminal, opened in 2020, Morocco’s second after Casablanca.
