Mandarin Oriental comes to Rome in 2027

Published

Mandarin Oriental's first hotel in Rome is now set for 2027. Mandarin Oriental, Rome takes the Villini Sallustiani, ten villas of the 19th century between Via Piemonte and Via Sallustiana, in the Gardens of Sallust, the pleasure gardens of ancient Rome, a short walk from the Via Veneto and the Spanish Steps.

It is planned with 108 rooms and suites, many with private gardens or terraces, interiors by the Paris designers Gilles & Boissier, and six restaurants and bars designed by Dimorestudio, among them a restaurant in a villa of its own and the rooftop Mandarin Bar. There are indoor and outdoor pools and a spa, and the general manager, Mirko Cattini, comes from the Hotel Eden.

Among the best hotels in Rome, and the luxury hotels of Italy, it will be the newest grand address of the Eternal City. Until it opens, the Hotel de Russie, the Hassler and the city's other five-star hotels are on our Rome guide.
